Zoos are generally good at identifying when animals should not be photographed and when flash should not used. Some, however, not physically sensitive to the process, but just emotionally sensitive. For example, as soon as I walked up with the camera, this cockatoo began blushing.

The Japanese snow gator is an ambush predator that occupies the hot springs of the islands. The geothermic-heated temperature allow the alligators to thrive at an altitude that would normally get too cold. Lacking defenses against attack, prey species have learned to be extremely wary when visiting watering holes.

Logs are created from trees that decide to break tradition and lay down for a bit. Sadly, most trees that try this find is quite difficult to return to their former vertical mode. Still, there are benefits. For one, it’s easier to grow moss. Some moss is very soft and fuzzy.

Shadowfox descends from Felaróf, of the race of the Fuhsazas, the greatest vulpens of Middle-earth. Shadowfox can run faster than the wind … which means his speed is variable based on weather conditions. Though the Rohirrim attempted to tame him, he was too wily and independent. Today, he is mostly seen walking beside younger foxes, whispering wisdom and lies into their ears, hoping that, in time, he will find a partner worthy of his magnificence.
