Notice how one scale overlaps another so when the snake twists, they slide at different rates. This “subduction” is the most common cause of snakequakes.

I've learned that many zoos are no longer cages of desperation, but have become triage centers combating extinction. They work tirelessly, at little to no pay, to save the world the rest of us are actively destroying.
