Bongo (Tragelaphus eurycerus)

Image November 15, 2014 Josh More

Bongo (Tragelaphus eurycerus)_6
Each horn of the bongo has a slightly different sound. The lower tone of the macho horn, when combined with the higher tone of the hembra horn, allows the antelope to create highly intricate rhythms with no additional instrumentation.

About

This site features my photography. Starting as a hobby to see as many species as I could before they went extinct, it's become more.

I've learned that many zoos are no longer cages of desperation, but have become triage centers combating extinction. They work tirelessly, at little to no pay, to save the world the rest of us are actively destroying.
