Once bitten, the palm gained the ability to sense danger proportionate strength, and the ability to climb walls.

Thus, spider-plants were created.

I've learned that many zoos are no longer cages of desperation, but have become triage centers combating extinction. They work tirelessly, at little to no pay, to save the world the rest of us are actively destroying.
